The Love Comes Softly By Janette Oke - 916 Words

Everyone has different values in life that work for them. When I think of the values that were held in the past, I think of the â€Å"Love Comes Softly† series by Janette Oke that was made also into a movie. The series is based on values of Christ, family, love, respect, and honesty. I would have to say that these would be the values I live by on a daily basis. Each value plays a different role in life you can have one without the other, but when put together I feel it is a powerful combination. Christ or in the movie, he was called Clarke’s God† was always front and center. Clarke knew how to give God, his problems and pray for help he also knew how to thank God for helping him with the concerns. Clark also knew how to just thank him for being there even when there were no concerns. He would pray daily to God as many do today. Although I do not go to church often I still pray to God and thank him daily. Family is an important aspect of the â€Å"Love Comes Sof tly† series it is shown in almost every scene. From Clarke asking Marty to marry and come live with him to help with his daughter since her mother had passed to Marty saying yes since she was pregnant with her late husband’s baby and it was about to be winter. In return Clarke would pay for Marty to go back to her parents come the spring. Throughout winter Clarke and Marty become a real family with Clarke’s daughter Missy and Marty’s son Aaron. Family is also shown when it is time for Marty to leave come spring.
